Sony’s android based Tablets S1 and S2 announced

Tablet segment continues witness heated competition as more and more tablets are announced and launched to rival the market leader Apple iPad. After Samsung and Motorola its Sony which is all set to enter highly intensified segment with the announcement of Android based tablets Sony S1 and S2. Both these tablets run on Android’s latest version 3.0 Gingerbread and boasts of certification from Playstation promising a unique gaming experience and will connect to internet using Wi-Fi and 3G. Both the S1 and S2 are equipped with Nvidia Tegra 2 processors.

Apart from other features which are common with tablets Sony S1 which has a screen size of 9.4 inches, boasts of having built in infrared transmitter which can be used for controlling other devices. Sony S2 on the other hand has been given a very unique design as it has two screens of 5.5 inches with screen resolution of 1024*480 pixel which can be folded from the middle just like book.
