Motorola Defy Launched In India for Rs 18,500

Motorola Mobility, a subsidiary of Motorola Inc today launches its new Android powered handset, Motorola Defy in India. Motorola Defy is a slim pocket-able Smartphone powered by Google’s Android 2.1 (Eclair) OS, and comes with features like 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display at a 480×854 pixel resolution, 800 MHz OMAP 3610 processor with 512MB RAM, 3G, Wi-Fi, 5 megapixel camera with auto focus, digital zoom and flash features.

Other features include Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR, A-GPS, Proximity sensor, and Social networking integration for Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, Supports Google services like Gmail, Gtalk, Apps, Doc and Calendar.

This handset is a scratch and water-resistant and comes with 1540mAh battery pack, offers 6.8 hrs of continues talktime and 9.9 long stand by time. This phone offers geo-tagging feature to Google Maps and supports Exchange 2003 and 2007 along with POP3/IMAP and Yahoo Mail.

Defy also features Crystal Talk Plus to vanquish noisy environment and it is Digital living Network Alliance enabled which allows to stream, store and share content with compatible devices around the home like HDTVs, PCs and Game consoles etc. Connect Music player provides the option to displays lyrics to your song and enables you to discover, buy and download music right from your phone.
