Confident with great success of its android smartphones, HTC is now gearing up to expand into tablet market with Android 2.3 device. Probably named as HTC Scribe and The Flyer , this upcoming devices is expected to be launched by march 2011 and will ship into US market following by UK launch.
Currently there is no official specifications have been announced, but the Flyer is expected to come in a 7 inch form factor and run on Google’s Android 2.3 operating system. The device will be upgradable to the tablet-specific Android 3.0 Honeycomb platform.
Scribe has been cast more as a 3.0 flagship with a 1280×720 screen, an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, likely dual cameras and a combined 38GB of total internal and microSDHC storage in the box. The Flyer could ship in March while the Scribe and a third variant wouldn’t be ready until June.
