BSNL offering government employees with special discounts

BSNL, the state run telecom company, has identified the segments which may have affiliation towards PSU telecom products. Government employees usually prefer to take telecom services from PSU telecom companies. With a view to lure majority of customers from this segment BSNL has come up with many special discounts and offers. This is good strategy to target the segments which have some innate liking for the product rather than targeting those customers who are hard to please.

Recently the company had offered discount of 10% on fixed monthly charge on 3G data plans for working central and state government employees. Now the scheme has been extended to retired central government employees too. These kind of discounts breaks the inertia among prospective customer and lures the customer to go for purchase.

Similarly the company had launched special plans for paramillitary Jawans and Officers and now has decided to extend these offers to the employees of Armed forces too.

On the same line ,the company has restructured the organization structure and created an enterprise business division which will target enterprise customers for bulk deals and servicing. The bulk customers are usually high ARPU customers and stay for long time given offered good service.
